Quotes / Why
Why do we fight so hard to survive when we all know that Death is present in even the shallowest of scrapes?

This is not your typical review, but I would like you to define to me exactly what this particular saying means in your own words.
I do disagree with your phrase. It sounds as if you think that some things in life ar not worth while and to give your all for.
Maybe that conforming to what someone wants you to become is not worth your time. People still will not accept you even if you are exactly as they are.
Very angry phrase…well put.

You are insightful beyond your tender years. Death is ever present everywhere and can occur when least expected. Well done!
people fear death. well done, only i’d recommend putting this as a piece of satire in a statement. maybe something along the lines of “fight for survival, it’s not like death’s going to get you sooner or later.” just my $.02
I presume we fight to survive not because we are inept to death’s presence everywhere, but because if we feel like we have not just “rolled over” so to speak and let something that scares us so badly take us over we feel as though we tried so instead of “rolling over” we try to fend it off by any means.
I might be going out on a limb here but I’ll venture to say the primal instinct for survival!
I’m usually a fan of “take a step back and look around you” quotes, but I can’t say I really see much meaning in this tidbit. Maybe it could use some clarity. If this is about being angry with someone, I’m not sure I understand. If you’re asking why people put it on themselves to survive when they are, in actuality, vulnerable while alone, you might want to flesh out the idea of fragility and aloneness/naive independence. If, instead, you’re talking about the physical death of bodily cells as a result of “scrapes,” you may want to expand your scope or refine your points. Then again, maybe I’m not enlightened enough to understand your intent.

Because people feel the most alive when they are about to die in the face of travesty.
Something in me now relates to this. You hit the nail on the head! (Figuratively at least)
I’m afraid it needs a little more thought put into it. Maybe change the word survive to live. It starts on the way to a metaphysical thought provoker but death and survive clash. Hope this helps!
good point. is it a race to see who survives the longest or who survives the best. why not concentrate on happiness as opposed to life, or is happiness life. i hate competition
