Quotes / Loving
The only thing harder than loving somebody who doesn’t love you is loving somebody who does.

That is the one hundred percent truth. I don’t think I could have said this better myself. If I could give bonus points for honesty and truthfullness I would, but Urbis only allows a maximum of 10 points so you get 10 out of 10 from me. I like this quote so much. Keep up the great work. And yes I think witha great quote like this it is deffinately worth the effort of trying to find a place for it in your novel. Good luck with your novel and all of you other work.

Great quote..you must be married to someone that you love and has a smothering love back for you.
I love it, I can definitely see a character in a novel saying this. It’s one of thosep hrases almost anyone can relate to in some way
i think it would be worth it, that is unless you novel is a horror novel, then maybe not. Maybe give some examples as to why that is true. i think it sure can be true, because true love mean sacrifice and “us humans” being so self centered don’t always take kindly to sacrifice. i like your quote. It’s catchy and can be very true!
I think that this quote makes a valid point, but I really need to see it in context to make a proper judgement.
Also, I think that the best quotes make more use of word-play, puns and so on. Here you just contrast different kinds of loving, using ‘love’ to mean the same thing each time. Of course, the ‘loving somebody who does’ is a surprise and is meant to overturn our exectations, but I just found the whole thing a bit too balmy. I’d expect something more biting from a quote.
Man, that is deep! Yes, work it in! I love that quote. If you think about it, it’s very true. Loving somebody who doesn’t love you usually only hurts for a little while, loving someone who does can be prolonged pain and agony
Best,

I wouldn’t think that way, personally. I think love from both sides makes life more simple. The trust is stronger as well. You can put it in your novel as a dialogue if you show in your novel that it is this way because circumstances that occur warrent it.
This certainly is thought provoking. Yes, I can agree with that. I think it would be more polished by replacing “harder” with a synonym for “more difficult”.
Or turn the tables, into a positive statement.
I think this quote is worth working into a novel. I myself have never truly loved anyone, but I can see the truth in the quote.

it’s kind of hard to tell you if it fits into your novel if i don’t have a clue what your novel is about, even though it probably has something to do with that quote, but still i don’t know the story line, how it would fit the characters or whatever, so that part i can’t help you with. i don’t necessarily get the quote, but it is nicely worded, and it does make you think. i think the fact that i don’t agree with the quote that makes it hard for me to understand. to me i think it’s tougher loving people who don’t love you back. but anyways – kudos.
