I don’t think you breach the copyright law with rewriting lyrics. BUt I am not too sure.

As for the writing itself, it was really good. I could get a feel for where yuo were comming from and with the Johnny Cash tune it’s brilliant.

Thanks for all the reviews. If you all have never done this type of thing – TRY IT. It’s lots of fun and softens the stress of writing by adding a little fun. Pick your favorite song and re-write the words. :>}

I couldnt help but to have a smile while reading this. I think it was kind of funny. But not in a make fun of way, but in a good way. I think it was pretty good, and you definantly got the point accros. Toyr whipped. I wouldnt want to stay with a women like that. But good job!

Watch out weird al!! This is actually pretty fun. i change lyrics to songs all the time. Who gives a fuck about copyrights? Only conceited assholes.  I can’t rate this higher though because it is just a re-write.

I really like the lyrics to this song.  The lyrics are very catchy, and it seems like a typical country/western song.  I like how the song explains that the man can’t live without the woman, because how strong their bond is with each other.  Very well written and you did a wonderful job!

Bravo to anything keeping Johnny Cash alive, particularly Folsom Prison.

I absolutely love what you did with it.  The love that is bad for me but I keep sticking with her is a great concept in the context of the lonely, depressed character in Folsom Prison.

I don’t know that I would change a thing.  I have no idea on copyrights but I sure enjoyed it, in fact I think it’s a great idea to write new lyrics to old music, you’re probably not allowed to benefit from it, but who knows.

In any case it’s fun and interesting to me.   And, on some level rappers and hip hop guys and gals do it all the time.
