“Best Friend”
Sometimes I stare at the blank page
and I wonder, why am I doing this?
Why do I pour my thoughts, my heart
out onto dry expanse like melted butter
over the bland whiteness of a biscuit?
Why do I assume the colorful characters
of sirens, philosophers and even rednecks?
Because they are all a part of who I am.
Eac one clamoring to be heard, known.
There is no one I can introduce all of them to,
who would accept, appreciate the diversity
so I free them to romp in wild abandonment
or march in probing, philosophical solemnity
over the terrain of the non-judgmental page.
The page doesn’t censure what they say
or judge how indiscreet their actions might be.
The page will welcome all their thoughts,
their triumps and failures with impunity.
It will absorb the best of them and the worst
and still welcome them back tomorrow.
Now who else do I know who will do that?
So, I visit the page everyday and give it
whatever moves my heart, challenges my mind.
Elevate it to angelic heights or treat it like a toilet …
it never turns me away, interrupts my thoughts,
critiques my words or questions my motives.
The page is the best friend I have ever had.

I like the subject. You have quite a few unnecessary typos so I’d suggest a good proof-read. Some of the punctuation is a little odd and seems out of place, especially the ellipsis after “toilet” in the last stanza. There are also places where punctuation seems to be missing, or at least it might be helpful. As far as the actual writing goes it’s decent, overall, but there is room for improvement. I do love the last couple lines in the first stanza.
