So you use one fear to drowned out the other. You know many people feel the same about pain. They believe that physical pain will drown out emotional pain. Which is why some people cut. Just a thought. Thanks for sharing.

great line, very funny. Thanks!
I don’t see how replacing one with another helps? Why be afraid of either? It seems that death or serious injury is what’s truly feared here, not particular things that can potentially cause those outcomes. Get over dying, everyone does it, then living wont be so nerve racking.
After reading this quote, I gotta give props to this person.
It’s a pretty inspirational quote that send a good message.
Ha. This is my favorite kind of writing. Have you heard of a man named John Hodgeman? this makes me think of him. I hope to read more of your stuff. Please don’t stop writing.
I don’t read Reader’s Digest, so I’m not sure whether or not you’re likely to be published there, but I found your quote witty and entertaining. There are no errors to be corrected; my only suggestion would be that you might want to expand this into… anything, really. I could see a short story centered around this kind of neurotic, clever character (whom I suppose is, when you get to the core of it, you).
HAH very funny. I like this
Makes me chuckle and think. Good work.
Ha Ha. Sounds like a good trade off. If only it were that simple. Good quote. Keep em coming.
