Poetry / amanda
sight is turned away until it focuses,
and i look up,
at the moment,
looking you in the eye.
your eyes slowly turn up from your eyelids,
you know what i want!
the blonde drapes slide past the side of your face
and i cannot breathe for a moment but hide behind my palms,
hiding underneath my shadow
hoping you would notice, but
wishing you were mine.
and the smooth skin i see,
your navel looking at me,
how i would like to
rub the tip of my tongue across,
pulling your belt.
you are another envy,
the place is deserted without you.
i am closed.
these walls are squares which push me into chaos,
this life is pain pressing harder,
this body is destroyed and no one wants it!
what about the birds?
pecking through the roof,
hiding behind speakers.
i don’t care for no one,
no one, even me.
and i use emotions
to show i don’t care, to show i am selfish.
as i stroll into the room i
notice many things but
the first thing i always look to find
is your eyes looking at me.
even if they all care.
even if you are theirs.
and that little insignificant moment to you was the highlight of my day.
