Quotes / Frequency Betrays Importance

I think you have the words mixed up.  You mean to say that “Rare are the times that we do not [want to say goodbye]?”  So you are saying that we usually want to say goodbye to somebody that we are close to.  Check your meaning again. I also don’t understand the title. I’d like you to explain. :-)

Perhaps you should have read into it a little more. If frequency of an event was an indicator to the importance of it, then true, meaningful, heartfelt goodbyes would be severely unimportant. The goodbyes that mean the most to us happen less than the goodbyes we say to people we do not like.

Ah.  So… you are pointing out a contradiction to “if you do an act multiple times, it is more meaningful than an act done rarely.”  Alright.  I see your point.

I really liked this.  The theme is hardly given away with the title, and only after reading it do I get a sense of what the title really means.  It sums it up in such a way that you have to read it first.  That’s strong.  I also like the progression you have set up with “often,” “occasional,” and “rare”.  Well done.

I really like the way you worded this. It sums up both the positive and incredibly somber meaning to such a common word.

This makes quite a bit of sense to me. I can only go ahead and agree with it. I know I’ve rarely ever not said good bye.

As great and understandable as this quote is, it seems to more so point out the obvious than make a statement or explanation. Nonetheless, it is very well said.

Very, very true but exactly how important is it to say goodbye?  An even better question is exactly how many times do we say we love someone as they go out the door, and mean it?

Simply profound. That’s how I would describe this. It’s a mix between a free-verse, a quote, and a proverb. It’s very nice, and I do like the simplicity. I don’t think there’s anything to change. The title is a bit if-y, but overall, it’s very nice.

I like it.  It’s clear and concise, without being overly dramatic.  It’s well stated, and I think that nearly everyone can relate.  I hope this helps.
