Thank you very much. I am glad that it touched you in some way. To me that is one of the great advantages of writing.
Poetry / Journey
We strive for purpose for meaning
A story with an unknown ending,
Your mind is eager to know the truth of you
As your heart to burn in the moments you once knew,
You’ve come along way some view as real far
Made it over that hill, bumps and bruises and scars,
You took something small and created an new world
Any negativity you touched you quickly would hurl,
Out into that ocean of things that are unseen
With an impact into a sea of aquamarine,
Calmly you walk the shoreline watching your impressions
A genetic projection of your body’s connection,
And you wonder the impact that you have made
On this world around you each and every day,
Perhaps a pat on the back or maybe a friendly Hello
That brought a woman to smile, and a child to grow,
In fact we may never know the impressions we make
Just as we fail to realize the things for granted we take,
As you step out into this world that you may see vague from afar
Remember the beauty that lies at night in the stars,
Don’t become overwhelmed with the things you can’t seem to control
Don’t forget that your life is in God’s hands as well as your soul,
Take a deep breath and if need be release with a tear
And know my dear friend that I will always be here,
With an ear, a shoulder, or a hand for support
Or a friend to walk with you down that sandy shore,
You are special my friend with such a huge heart
An eager mind that is brilliant and smart,
Just keep your head high along with your chin
Remember your roots and don’t forget where you’ve been,
For your character you see is a compilation of things
Experiences, failures, accomplishments, along with other things unseen,
Later in life it’s as though we are given new eyes
To see a new world of beauty through this world of disguise,
Just don’t give up and don’t lose that sweet inner child
The one that is alive, and adventurous and wild,
Keep your hopes high and never give up on yourself
And when it gets tough, take the ocean and close it and put it up on your shelf…

About the most eliquently written and deep piece, yet simple thing I have read in a long time. You are right that the journey of life, with all its good and bad happenings, should be celebrated and never given up on. It is just beautiful. Thank you for writing this.

This is a very inspirational poem. This poem makes me think of the purpose we all have in life. Or better yet the stresses we put on ourselves due to the issues we face and at times can not change.
