Young Adult / Devil
Devil’s Creed
Black stripes with ball and chain
Four more years and I’m insane.
Parole has lost its glistening bliss
She saved me with her deadly kiss.
I ran in the streets with tremendous glee,
Only to find I was never freed.
Now she has me round her finger,
Pure lust and greed makes me linger.
Through the void I see a shape,
White hot fire is my fate.
Semi-auto
“Where were you last night?”
Those were the final words she ever said to me. She unloaded shell after shell. Firing her semi-automatic, she stood poised on the ballroom stairs. She looked extravagant in her wedding gown.
Her face had no anger, no sorrow, and no remorse.
The shells flew into the gale, they were blown about the room and they glinted in the morning sun. Her wedding gown ruffled in the breeze, and the curtains blew gently about. Then it all went dark.

This is a nice piece. It is very descriptive. It rhymes appropriately, and really captures infatuation in the poem. The end ends very abruptly. I don’t really understand where it is going.
I hope this helps,

Okay first what is going on here. At first I was right along with you but when you got to the semi-auto I lost it. What is the connection between the first part of this and the second?
