Thanks! I moved this to the poetry section. I was never sure what a limerick really is, but now I know. Thanks for that too!

TRAVELLING LIMERICK
Pat,
will get a flat,
with possibly a cat,
turn it into his bachlor pad,
drive all of Ireland’s women mad
with his jaunty Purple Cow hat,
that makes him look even more rad,
and have loads of fun at that
and hopefully the crazed chick (just a tad)
will come to his mind when he feels bad,
cuz she will send chocolate to make him fat
and knows her rhymes and drama are real bad
And with all that said:
Good luck and safe travels, Pat!

I am definitly not one to judge. You’re right though about the “limerick’ Its not one, but oh well. It does entertain. It’s fun to read, guess because it rhymes….Although I had to read it a couple times to really understand it. I am a bit slow possibly!
Well good piece overall!

Yes. Limericks are for fun. Unfortunately, technically, this isn’t a limerick. It doesn’t have five lines, a rhyming scheme of aabba, or a syllable count of 99669. This probably belongs under poetry. As far as the criteria that you want it to be graded on, you get high marks for those. It is a pretty silly poem, so kudos there…
Not a limerick, but I like the Seuss-ian feel.
