Poetry / My Paint
To this empty heart that beats,
do no burden me.
Allow my happiness to remain in the abundance it has found.
Writhing and flowing in the colors of paint forever.
Create the colors that justify my happiness’ beauty.
To the blue and green thank you for your brilliance.
To the reds and yellows thank you for your fire.
These colors enfume my soul with creativity.
To the body this soul is bound,
live well and permit life to enter at will.
The soul needs to be fed grand colors,
colors painted over a lifetime in a body that carries an empty heart which is filled with life’s treasures.

I liked where this poem could go, but had trouble going there.
The imagery was good and the concept was good. I would tell you to read some Plath and immerse yourself in Auden, I hate to give any criticism to a young writer because, you tried to create and that is all that matters, keep writing and don’t stop ever.
