When was the last time you did something for the first time?
Interesting quote isn’t it? I’ve always thought so. The first time I saw it, it really got me thinking. At first I couldn’t remember when it was I had done anything for the first time, reason being my mind was stuck trying to remember when the last time was I did something big, impressive, rememberable. And the truth was, I hadn’t done anything like that recently. That thought depressed me slightly, what’s wrong with me? I remember thinking. Why haven’t I done anything new, different?
At the time I was thinking this I was with my confirmation class, we were on our day long retreat, staying at a convent on the shores of Lake Michigan, I was walking the beach a little behind everyone else thinking to myself and then it hit me, just minutes ago I had skipped a rock for the first time in my life! Wow! Just like that, I’d done something for the first time! It got me thinking some more, I came up with a list of about twenty things I’d done for the first time in the last week alone, that, until that moment, I’d never appreciated.
I guess what I’m saying is that next time you have some time to think, ask yourself this, When was the last time you did something for the first time? Then don’t think too hard about the answer I think you’ll be surprised by what you come up with.

This is an interesting piece. Doing something for the first time doesn’t necessarily have to be something grand and memorable, first times occur in smaller things. I’m glad you learnt that and maybe that will inspire you to go out there and do more things.

Well I thought about it, and I supported a particular friend who was feeling down, It was the first time I needed to give this lady support because normally she offers me it. Yes I was looking for that big thing, but you are right the little things count too.
I was walking the beach-Maybe – I was walking on the beach- or – along the beach.
No need to capitalise after a comma eg- ask yourself this, When
Comma needed after answer, I think (last line)
I have these typing problems too.
Nice theme and interesting point of view. I don’t remember about a something I make by a first time in my life a last week.
I can not write about grammar because I’m rookie in English Language.

I like the idea as well. The last time i did something for the first time was yesterday. I tried sushi for the first time. I liked it but the one i had had to much rice. Any way You should write more on thinking questions because you gave good examples of this.
