Cliche. Very cliche and you got a typo-”Love is often mistaken for lust” period.
This is so true. I have only a tiny critique I think you meant to write “this is why most people” and not “what”. Nice work.
I agree with the idea behind your quote – determining the difference between love vs. lust can be difficult and lead to trouble.
As written, your quote is a little clunky. There needs to be some form of punctuation before the word “this.” You should think about changing the sentence around so that it doesn’t end with the word “about.”
A good quote presents us with something new. This is a bit of an age old wisdom (but still wisdom nonetheless).
I think maybe you should have Lust is mistaken for Love (Lust first, being the one that is mistaken) or say that they are mistaken for ‘each other’ at the moment it is only Love that people are mistaken about.
The second half is not worded greatly. Try and re-write it with the intention of saying the exact same thing but with different words and see what you come up with. (always an interesting experiment with quotes)
ummm… duh? it’s very true but you sound like an after school special. this isn’t CREATIVE writing
Good quote. I can relate and have made that assumption, only to learn what you have stated here.
hell yeah. without a doubt you’re hitting a nail squarely on the head. my friends and i are always making comments about how it seems all of our friends that are couples spent a few nigths having sex and then decided they wanted the realationship—definetly gets us into trouble. relationships are rarely healthy these days. i notice when i see one that at least seems so. kismit, serendipity, fate, destiny whatever one wants or does not want to call it—i really needed to read this right now. thank you.
Very true. Needs “lust; this” or “lust. This” to work right.
