~ Heart of the Storm ~

I’m hanging out to dry
Like a scarecrow without his cornfield
Lost with no direction
Nothing left to protect
Just left for the crows
To hack away at my invisible heart

I’m heading straight for the heart of the storm
This pain inside is torn to pieces
Where to begin?
How do I heal?
Only heaven knows

Walking on empty down a moonlit street
Trapped in time
Between rhyme and reason
Stopping at the crossroads
Do I turn left?
Do I turn right?
Or keep on walking straight through
Going backwards has never been an option for me
Everything that’s been said and done
Within every moment
There was a lesson to be learnt

I’m heading straight for the heart of the storm

Kneeling by my bedside
Praying for guidance
Just like I did when I was a child
Tomorrow when I wake
Church is where I will be
It’s the confession booth for me
Father forgive me for I have sinned
But if you can’t forgive me
I still ask that you send your love
To all who has entered my life
And bless them with the touch of your soul
And forever guide them with your inner light

I really liked this.  Thank you for letting me review it.  I can relate to it very well and I think a lot of other people can too.  Coming to a cross roads in life, feeling like we are in limbo, but knowing that to get where we are going we have to go through the storms in life.

Thankyou for the review neawaia, yes we are all faced with the crossroads of life at some point or another, for some even more than once. It is those storms we travel through that build our character from within and hopefully learn some valuable lessons to pass on to another.
