thank you very much.
Poetry / road trip
petrified, the bridge snoozes
dusty on the river’s death bed.
leaning like a sunbeam,
sturdy as an airful of birthday confetti,
it tapers like a siren passing brightly.
an impish sapphire eye gleaming,
little fluffy clouds kaleidoscope the landscape.
my suitcase has been a wildseed
strutting down toll roads as impatient as
a hotel faucet’s dripping.
the interstate irritates like a hotly twisted comforter,
and the ashes of Arizona summer freckle me
as bravery collects like mercury rolling,
and delight, crimson as twin tail lights,
recollects a glowstick snapping.

Very good imagery and choice of words….I really liked this one, my favorite part has to be this line—
“strutting down toll roads as impatient as
a hotel faucet’s dripping.”

Keep working it. Some of the images are solid but the cohesiveness is vague in spots. I wasn’t sure what the message was after the beginning it got lost a bit. You do choose lovely words and put them together nicely.
Lots of images, but lacking in clarity and depth.
This is good imagery to describe travel.
