well, there is also self and mutual masturbation
and oral sex and even anal sex, if you go in
for the backdoor kinda thing.
But there are many many alternatives
that achieve intimacy and stave off the insanity
that comes from lack of closeness.
Not all intimate activity needs culminate
in penetration… and potential STDs and
pregnancy.  Just a quick point was that I was
talking about contraceptives per se, not sex
as a ‘hole’ ;-)

that was the point.
that contraceptives are neither cheap nor safe.
(not that 100% sexual abstinence is good… but
there are many intimate activities that can
replace straight up sex.), and which provide the
intimacy and closeness necessary for sanity.

True there are many thing which can be an alternative to straight up sex. Many of them providing the same amount of intimacy and closeness as sex. And you don’t hear to many stories of virgin births.

Actually, I know someone who had a virgin birth and she was freaked out! Never having been fully intimate with anyone she was freaked out well, because not having even experienced the girth of a man, much less an 8 lb bowling ball she’s be passing 8 months later ;-)
And according to her Gynecologist, whom I accompanied her to see.
Virgin births are more common than you would think!!!

I’ve already addressed your points in earlier reviews,
but you would’ve had no way of knowing that until after
you wrote your review ;-)
Anyway, there are many sexual acts that would not
require ‘protection’ and definitely between same-sex
couples… so this certainly would not apply to any other
than heteros. ;-D
There is a high price to abstaining, but over an unwanted
pregnancy, it is the low cost, no side-effect alternative.

The cornerstone for almost everything in our society is SEX.
We eat it, talk about it, photograph and film it,
buy it, sell it, use it to sell and to motivate us \to buy, and finally, we engage in it.
When I get a moment (after recovering from an all-nighter, I do have to come catch up with “the boys”
and “odd” is good, especially in a work like yours, where “odd” and “eccentric” only elicits more and more laughs (and I need some of those, maybe even sex, too) hahahaha
