This was funny. The sad thing is that I could see my dad doing this as well. It must be a Texas thing. I like that this story was very personal yet interning. I also have always love when someone throws in side comments. (She called me beetle-bee, aww.) Often I find these to be the best part of the story. I will have to look into more of your stuff!
I like the point you are making with this. I feel like there is something missing though. What? I do not know. It leaves you feeling incomplete. I could see how reading this could inspire to write more at least, but I think it would work better as a privet muse, than something to get published.
