I love writing. If the reader can take something out of my work and apply it to their own life or identify with the content then I am happy.

I am dazed. Take it from me; a tornado has no mercy when it kills you. I was killed by fierce wind and lived to tell the tale. The remnants of a monster lay strewn across three states, thankfully. I was ripped to pieces, and when the dust settled I was able to examine each part of me that I could find. I found my heart in Nevada. It was black, hard, and cold. It was torn to pieces. Not by the wind, but by the person that held it before tragedy. It was beating but barely. I found my head in Co...

The grass is always greener on the other side. Eventually, it will turn brown. The choice is yours. Make the effort and watch it live, or let it die. I choose to let it live. With all my heart, I choose to let it live. And my heart aches as I watch you let it die. Without a care it seems.

I know you never thought I'd go And leave you here alone December air is gone forever And I'm missin’ us together So now the road will catch my tears And hold me in its arms It teaches me to be without you It teaches me to miss you There's been nothing worse than this drive I see your eyes as the stars in the sky So many words being left unsaid This pen is startin’ to fall behind Can you see me through your window? Have you bothered to clean the glass? Distance never seem to hurt you It alway...

We're on a mission. Create the compassion. And fashion the children. It's in your eyes tonight. I know that it's in you. I see it in you. Inate but it loves you. We'll be good for life. Chorus: We pay to find that this life don't come for free. And all the trouble that they'll be. But you know I'll love them anyway. I think of them today. I scare to think that this world has passed me by, and to think that I could raise a child in a world where faith is left behind. I want to see them laugh, ...

It all begins with a memory. Discomfort from the imagery. Taking place over alcohol and eatery. I had to take my time to make the kill. So for the lack of the memory. For the sake of integrity. I'm going to lie. I'll tell you I don't like who I used to be. Everything will be fine. Chorus: The story: It all plays out in the mind of a suicide. In Reality: You have to fight for what you want to be. I don't regret the person I've become. I never listened to the worthless words they said. Relay, D...

I equate this to people watching. We observe and then write. We observe and wonder. We observe and laugh. We observe and cry. We observe and ponder. We fantasize of the way our world would rotate, and express in written form. Beauty comes from our own words. Steven!
I like the writing for your age group. It makes me think back to when I was a kid. I remember thinking the same thing if I was hanging with a chick that skipped from boyfriend to boyfriend. I never gave those girls the time of day but I understand where this piece is coming from. The writer seek stability from the subject being written about. He wants to convince her that he is different even though all men are cast in the same shadow. Nice guys finish last, but she doesn't believe nice guys ...
This is one of the highest ratings I have given on Urbis. The pain and angst flows and is extremely specific and explicit coming from you. I would think that it would be hard to describe what you believe his feelings would be toward this person. Your admissions must have been hard. Almost like reliving these moments in time. "as you sucked on her plastic...." I love this line. Reminds me of all the LA girls I know. PLastic = fake and insecure. In turn they draw one night stands and insincerit...
As a Christian I am instantly reminded of Heaven. Heaven is beauty to me and ultimately attainable by a forgiven soul. So this would be a great hope peace in that sense. I can see hot it can be read in several different ways but I will stick to my own translation. Props.
