This prose seems to capture the ambivalence the writer is trying to convey.In life;no one desires to be an actual pawn in someone's idea of a romantic game,but sooner or later one must come to a certain resolve.Play, or be played?Very good imagery.

I believe true poetry; in and of itself, should rhyme.This seems to be one of my pet peeves; as i have struggled, as a writer to accomplish this most of my life.
