I am raven, jet solitaire, diamond-tailed shaped - messenger, bridge between two worlds; one, palpable, the other, dream, my psychic soars above heather. I bring spirit, inner knowledge & often scavenge on useless. I am message & messenger. I sometimes call... summon or jeer - my presence breaks this earth silence, you know your future is changing. Let me awake you, lone dreamer.

poet's note: with grateful thanks to Jon Anderson for "his" lightning & sun. hell feels like hole, hole unholy - unholy hall where we wander, wondering why we roam alone, alone again inside a hall so unholy we don't have wings to wander free, free from fancy fall inside hole, funnels of slime, slave to angels fallen by fate or accident... take, take, take - take me through the lightning; move me up, help me get the sun ... God, so happy to be alive .

No tree. No river. No mountain. Just two oceans. Tonight you returned on my fence. What more beautiful than your voice? I feel your birdsong through my rain - your heart beating in C major, you, my pink sunrise in darkness. Inside each dream drowns a dreamer, we share music, universal.

I have listened to raven's voice. Dreams entangled in strange catchers - that shaman's web woven at night, liquid darkness in a seashell, when I reach out to other worlds. Otter, eagle or buffalo, all have a voice I understand. All dream of clouds around a moon invincible. They're just like me, afraid to wake to a trapper in camouflage; that hunter's stealth we only find on mother earth... Mine is hidden inside their minds. nat, 2007

There, at mountain foot in azure sky, orchards of dreams in rows of threes, trees dressed in white - cherry blossoms, immaculate fragrance of spring, fragile, so faint, awakes senses in honeybees, like courtesans in a ballroom; flowers of life, so delicate. Bobbing branches in April wind, like whimsical ballerinas, I feel humble to your sadness, time in garden that is not mine; petals of love in minuet. nat, 2007

Hi there :)) I love short burst of this kind - raw as they can be, full of energy :)) Have really enjoyed its feel, its sense of passion, fire - Overall it scans well, Great! Now, please allow me a few suggestions. Your opening line, like its last make be really powerful :)). "Love, from a tormented soul Rises from death" already impressive. But show, don't tell all concepts, such as "death". How do you view/descricbe death in 1 or a ouple of words? Why not, "Life, tormented, rising from dark...
Hi there! What a twist - am listening to Yes here and have discovered your Lyrics ;-). As a Yes fan, I have really enjoyed them, very Jon Anderson like. I especially loved those images "road to heaven/ road to ruin", which made me think of artist Paula Cole somehow... i also love that concept of circles, ...no beginning, no end... so deeply rooted in First Nations' beliefs. To me your lyrics work well, even in spite of their abstraction; your choice of images is very apt. Lyrics don't necessa...
