Most of my time is spent in the theatre, acting, directing, etc.
Or I’m teaching my musical theatre classes.
I also tend to wear this keyboard out posting blogs on blogspot and writing reviews for Theatre Vault.
Poetry has become my emotional outlet.
I carry around a book to write whatever blossoms in my mind.
Most of  what I write in that book winds up here.
I find inspiration from everything.
I guess I view the world through poetic eyes…
Poetry is everywhere.

Doll’s House Worth the Three Hour Investment by Tahrea Maynard This weekend, Columbus Civic Theatre opens Henrick Ibsen’s A Doll’s House. The Norwegian playwright’s most famous work, often required reading in academic settings, enjoys a reputation with the scholarly crowd as the world’s first truly feminist play. To the original 19th century audience, the work was shocking and appalling. So, how does it play to a modern audience? This plot of this classic drama f...

As humans we are trapped. Trapped in our minds. Trapped in ourselves. We cannot escape from what we love what we hate what we fear and what we accept. As humans we are faithful. As humans we cheat. We run for safety. We run for love. We run from love. We run from trouble. We hide in the darkness. We seek the light. We torment ourselves and we torment others. As humans we exist. As humans we cease to be. We encourage. We discourage. We enlighten. We deceive. We are lovers. We are fighters. We ...

I gave my all You can't say that I gave nothing when I gave my all. You know my name and that is something. I gave my all. You see me here with blood stains on my shirt, killing to give my all. My face streaked with tears, living in this world of hurt, I gave my all. Even while you scorn seems to plague my mind I gave you my all. You will always know something great was born within the time I gave my all. My voice is hoarse and my words are few because I gave my all. My smiles are now scar...

Poetry / Alone
I truly can appreciate and relate to this poem. It sends a message in which a lot of people can really see themselves. There are some spelling errors, but otherwise well done. Merry Christmas!
I love this poem! I think it wa beautifully done, and I like the way you personified each type of music. My favorite is the "rock out with your cock out" and "the rooted voices" Well done

Poetry / STRESSED
LOL! I totally understand that kind of stressed. I am stressed, stressed, stressed right down to the vest. I pace and I pace with my hart racing. (Did you use 'vest' to rhyme with 'stressed' or were you wearing a vest at the time??? I think there could be a couple of words to use besides 'vest.' And 'hart' should be heart.)
