I’ve stood gate over the estate of John Wayne,  slept in cars and done things you’d probably regret.
I’ve written political columns for newspapers, won minor awards for poetry, been published by some small presses, and been held down by thugs and beaten for no reason I could fathom.
I’ve seen shit that would turn you green, and had experiences that would fill you so full of bliss that they’d leave you lusting for death, because you’d know in your heart from that moment on, everything else would send you into an apathetic spiral ending in doom.

I’ve hustled books, and done the rounds as a coffee jock, I’ve worked sweeping the oily goo off the floors in late night movie theaters, greased lift racks in shitty gas stations, and spent a few months as a low wage deliverator.
I dated a kung fu master who later did softcore-horror porn. I’ve been accused of piracy, and documented multi-million dollar projects on nothing but caffeine and waves of confusion swathed in a curry fueled haze.
I’ve slept under my desk to meet deadlines, and I’ve slept with at least one of of my bosses (I married her later, and she is my hero).
Today I am mostly a daddy, who loves his beautiful wife and miraculous children.
I’m also looking for a way out of Tech Writing and into something that pays well, and doesn’t suck my soul out of my ass, like some east texas mummy at an old folks home.
