By the age of ten, I was published.
At the age of twelve, through the aptly-named “Midwest Gifted and Talented Program”  I was allowed to take my SATs.  My verbal scores were on par with 98% of graduating seniors.  Because of this I was allowed to take college level creative writing courses.  After all this pumping my head to epic proportions, it seemed I would pursue writing as a career.  Not so.  Influenced by wiser heads then my own, I decided to make finacial stability my number one priority.  I went to college as Pre-med/Clinical Science, but I couldn’t escape my first love.  I waited tables, gave tarot reading, read palms, and wrote English papers…

(I apologize in advance to everyone I critique.  After two years of trying to correct or give advice to every wannabe writer in the freaking state who was told by their high school english teacher/mother that they are the next freaking Hemmingway, my patience and tact have been worn away to nothing.)
I graduated, then promptly dropped out of med school to bum around Europe.
I am now a molecular biologist, wife and mother.  Yet I’ve never been able to escape the writing bug.  My accomplishments run from being the editor and main contributer of the Riveter (a weekly newsletter for an automotive supply company with a following of about 1600 readers) to published pieces such as “Molecular Biology: making the micro department obsolete?” and “Goodpastures Syndrome: a Diagnostic Algorithm.”
Today (7/8/08), I quit the medical field.  With my bloody-penned editor/best friend Maggie, I’m going to make a name for myself.  I’m picking up the craft again. If you want to waste my credits on comments like “Watch your grammar”, I send you a mental slap!  I have a professional editor for crap like that.
