I love to write, and I love combining writing with visual graphics and art to enhance the subject matter, (but the writing has to be strong enough to stand without the visual aspect before I will try to pair it with anything visual.) I am interested in all types of writing, especially personal experiences, nature poetry, but I don’t limit myself to those areas. My favorite poem is Hardy’s “The Darkling Thrush,” for me the imagery is incredible.

Slippery feeling of skinny dipping, Naked water exposed open and receiving oil slicked pools trailing me tonight, cool coffee scents assault, watching, stalking nostrils of interlopers, unaware eyes gleaming in algae darkness, turtles snap shut. Clinging dew, spittles of gleaming white trails left under the veil of fading night. Broken transmission of protruding belly buttons and flesh, Catbirds screaming for lost children, yellow pollen flags watery mess, muddy thoughts caress woody desires.

Rivulets, one of my favorite words! "I hide my secrets in my fingernail clipper. My best friend; a turtle. . .is asleep in the shawl." I love the first line here, and although the second one I am not sure I understand, I enjoy it's quirky nature. Very off-beat, and unexpected, I love it! Purists to old poetry might have trouble processing it, I however, enjoy as it is and only wish I knew who the turtle was! Nicely done!

a light, airy, and a bit predictable, but an enjoyable and easy read. I wasn't sure where you were going with the cliff metaphor, but I knew it had to be a life changing event, I really thought the feeling of freedom or the "jump" off the cliff, was perceptible at the end and I did for a moment have a falling sensation. Just a small suggestion, change the metaphor of the cliff into something else, something maybe a bit less expected? I hate offering suggestions like this because often times pe...
