My name is Elisa and I live near Venice in Italy. I’ve always felt like I had something to say, but I guess I thought it was not important till a couple of years ago, when I found out I was not bad at writing. Now nothing makes me  happier than opening my heart and create something beautiful out of it. I’ve started to trust myself and now I’m about to publish my first book of poems in Italy and I hope abroad too, as I mainly write in English. The picture you see here is the cover. Italy is a difficult place for someone who writes poems, so I really need to confront my work with other authors and Urbis sounded good to me.
I also write screenplays and lyrics.

It’s a boiling pot in the calendar Numbers all year but just bubbles in September Boil boil boil Lid off, don’t let it spoil! So now the time to cook has come New receipts in my mind start to hum A fresh breeze rocks some yellow leaves As a loving mother does with her sleepy babies Electric atmosphere and my hair stands on end All things react and keep on a progressing trend They start, they move, they turn In pastel-smelling September Time for change, time for action The ninth month…time for...

Late night Velvet light Wrapped in warmth and scents Time for myself Time to get well Wrapped in steaming sparkling snow So gentle to my skin So inviting to dig in Delighted at the valleys of this Atlantis At the centre of the wreck In the middle where it's wet I'm all captured in a funnel of lust Beating the orchid...fast Stroking in circle...yes! A trembling flame in a coloured glass cup A ghost bell tower clock A huge hard hammering cock In the water I'm home In the water now...

This bright vibrant light, The main feature of every fight Red is the blood Red is the rage Do you still feel locked in a golden cage? So what are you waiting for, little one? Take your crimson power and just be gone! This miracle in your heart, This revelation that sets you apart Red is passion Red is action Have you ever felt such a satisfaction? So what are you waiting for, little one? Take your crimson power and just let it done! This uncontainable fullness, This blinding smile Red is the...

Poetry / Iron Garden
Wonderful piece! So original and deep and sad and full of emotions! You built the whole poem on the contrast between life ("garden"; "seed" "flowers") and death ("iron"; "Golgotha"; "bloody"; "yellow ribbons"; "zippered seals") and you create pure art! The only thing I can suggest, but it's just personal taste, is to drop the punctuation at the end of each stanza! Kudos!
