PROLOGUE PART ONE The clear, dry desert air crackled with excitement as Savage surveyed the tumult below from his penthouse vantage point in the tallest building ever erected in teaming Las Vegas. Hundreds of feet below were throngs of people jamming the streets and clogging the boulevards straining to get a better look at the Circus Parade, the Laser Light Show, and the lines of sleek, black limousines bearing international dignitaries and celebrities from the greatest and most important ci...

QUALITY HILL PLAYHOUSE Presents THE SONGS OF IRVING BERLIN By Taylor Pero You’ve got until February 10th to see the excellent production of Quality Hill Playhouse’s current offering of The Songwriter Series, No Business Like Show Business themed presently honoring The Songs of Irving Berlin. Take it from me. I went, I saw, I came out smiling and feeling very patriotic and proud to be an American. 27 DRESSES MOVIE REVIEW By Taylor Pero 20th Century Fox and Spyglass Entertainment present this Comedy. Romance film starring Katherine Heigl, James Marsden, Malin Akerman, and Ed Burns. A new Star has crossed over from television and is at this minute the hottest actress in Hollywood since Julia Roberts made us laugh and cry in “Pretty Woman”. Movie Review SWEENEY TODD: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street The original theatrical production of Sweeney Todd opened on Broadway March 1, 1979 and the star attraction was Angela Lansbury, then the toast of NYC Theater. It was not an instant hit, closing after just 557 performances on June 29, 1980. The story goes that on the original opening night, half the audience got up and left in disgust during the intermission. Disgust? In a Broadway Show? Yes! In this case the multiple slashing of thr...

I am clueless about this form of poetry and the related stanza's, so cannot critique it from that perspective. I will say that I found it interesting, although somewhat obscure. If the deceased was unknown to the poet, why bother to say anything. Both the graveyard and the Crow are all too reminiscent of Edgar Allen Poe and I think the poet is unwise to venture into Poe's territory. It's like trying to remake a Hollywood classic movie. It never works. My conclusion is that the writer is gift...
CRITIQUE: You need to work on sentence structure and how to string words together so they flow effortlessly for the reader. Example: The sky grew dim as the waning light of the Sun ended it's descent. In the half light between day and night the evening serenade of night creatures, crickets and toads and other creatures unseen, began their symphony. I would let it be known that the sky is in Georgia because it helps the reader get a sense of the surroundings The sun was setting and the sky wa...
I feel I should apologize in advance for the critique I am about to write. This is not meant to offend but the words will be harsh and brutally frank because you are laboring under the assumption that you have a flair or talent for writing when such is just not the case. This story goes no where and is so convoluted that I gave up on trying to figure out the characters actions about a quarter of the way through. You open with a wedding without any visualization to play on my imagination. A f...
